I am really happy to join so many amazing people here! Hi to Gregoire Jiapot and Michel Bauwens. And many thanks for inspiration, guidance, and wisdom to Eric Harris-Braun.

BIO

Jean radiates a deep conviction about our power to transform our lives. She developed from a recipe of three parts theoretical background (identity, cultural studies, and language), one part geek translation experience, and one part awareness of flow with a good dose of deep talent for nurturing people and community.

With a double bachelors of arts in English and Philosophy, her studies centered around narrative and culture specifically focused on identity, transformation, and the performance of everyday life. In 1997 she organized a conference, Performance Margins. In 1998, Jean curated an art exhibition, Text and Territory: Navigating through Immigration and Dislocation, which focused on how language and location map identity.

Within the corporate sphere, working within an international NYSE-listed corporate finance corporation, her reputation blossomed as a cross-pollinating network weaver. She was commended for her superior efforts on strategy planning, and she trained in communication, software tools, and conflict management/negotiation.

In 2002, Jean began working closely with Drake Zimmerman, a leading charitable planner, socially responsible investment advisor, and coach, on communication materials about making a difference. She received her certification as an NLP Coach in 2005, and she has coached executives, nonprofit leaders, and social entrepreneurs across three continents. In 2005, she began working with inspirational philanthropic leader Tracy Gary on a new nonprofit, Inspired Legacies, an organization focused on shifting the connections and processes between donor, advisors, and nonprofits.

With a strong reputation (one of the top 5 rated users) as Nurture Girl, she actively participates in the online community of Omidyar Network, a virtual gathering place to discover the individual and collective power to do good. There she weaves a network of change agents to create conscious transformation of our shared world. Within that role, she has advised Catalyitic Communities, a nonprofit offering both local community development space (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) as well as an online community sharing web portal.

She has a passion for technology, and Jean partnered, starting in 2005, with Arthur Brock, a technology visionary and currency innovator, to grow the field of awareness and tools around flow within community. Shortly thereafter she met Eric Harris-Braun, which deepened her interest in collective intelligence and wealth acknowledgment.

In her free time Jean likes to read about leadership, change, and critical theory as well as modern fiction and poetry. Don't forget systems theory, organic models, network theory, and currencies too.
