The Infrastructure Security Partnership
TISP, a national public-private partnership, promotes collaboration to improve the resilience of the nation's critical infrastructure against the adverse impacts of natural and man-made disasters. TISP members, representing the design, construction, operation, and maintenance communities; local, state, and federal agencies; academe; and other organizations concerned about disaster preparedness, work together to develop and implement cost-effective solutions to enhance the resilience of the nation's critical infrastructure by leveraging their collective resources, experience, technical expertise, research and development capabilities, and knowledge of public policy regarding natural and man-made disasters. 3

National Nuclear Security Administration
Established by Congress in 2000, NNSA is a semi-autonomous agency within the U.S. Department of Energy responsible for enhancing national security through the military application of nuclear energy. NNSA maintains and enhances the safety, security, reliability and performance of the U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile without nuclear testing; works to reduce global danger from weapons of mass destruction; provides the U.S. Navy with safe and effective nuclear propulsion; and responds to nuclear and radiological emergencies in the U.S. and abroad. 4

ISAlliance was created to provide a forum for information sharing and thought leadership on information security issues. The ISAlliance represents corporate security interests before legislators and regulators, in so doing the alliance aims to identify and standardize best practices in Internet security and network survivability, while creating a collaborative environment to develop and implement information security solutions. National Biometric Security Project
NBSP is a nonprofit organization incorporated in Washington, D.C. It is designed to perform an independent public service in support of anti-terrorist and homeland security objectives. That service provides unbiased support regarding application of biometric technology; from development of standards, to focused testing, research, training, and education for all levels of government and the private sector that have responsibility for security of the civilian national infrastructure. Site presents test, research and data center overview, news, events and publications, and biometric links. 6

Set America Free Coalition
The Coalition brings together prominent individuals and non-profit organizations concerned about the security and economic implications of America’s growing dependence on foreign oil. The coalition, organized by the Institute for the Analysis of Global Security (IAGS), promotes a blueprint which spells out practical ways in which real progress toward energy security can be made over the next several years. 7

Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America
SPP was launched in March of 2005 as a trilateral effort to increase security and enhance prosperity among the United States, Canada and Mexico through greater cooperation and information sharing. This trilateral initiative is premised on our security and our economic prosperity being mutually reinforcing. The SPP recognizes that our three great nations are bound by a shared belief in freedom, economic opportunity, and strong democratic institutions. The SPP provides the framework to ensure that North America is the safest and best place to live and do business. It includes ambitious security and prosperity programs to keep our borders closed to terrorism yet open to trade. The SPP builds upon, but is separate from, our long-standing trade and economic relationships. It energizes other aspects of our cooperative relations, such as the protection of our environment, our food supply, and our public health. 11

Canada-U.S. Cargo Security Project
CUSCSP originally known as Operation Safe Commerce-Northeast, is an international/regional initiative, comprising a public-private partnership of federal, provincial, state, and local United States and Canadian members operating in northeastern North America. Its purpose is to provide a rapidly assembled prototype test-bed for elements of cargo container supply chain security. Since early 2002, it has had as its strategic goal the production of demonstration models for the international container shipping system that maintain open borders and facilitate commerce while improving security practices by using point-of-origin security, in-transit tracking and monitoring and data query capability designed to validate and facilitate the movement of containerized cargo. British American Security Information Council
BASIC is a progressive and independent analysis and advocacy organization which researches and provides a critical examination of global security issues, including nuclear policies, military strategies, armaments and disarmament. BASIC assists in the development of global security policies, policy-making and the assessment of policy priorities, and promotes public awareness and understanding of these policies and of policy-making in Europe and the US. 13

Federation of American Scientists – U.S. Intel and Security Agencies
This resource is an index of United States intelligence and security agencies.
