Everyday new people register, they need to be welcome, they need support, information, mutual introductions to peers. Everyday new projects appear and could be connected to other projects for a better synergy. Everyday new content is written, some people and communities would be glad to be alerted and informed.

Not only a role of community facilitator is needed, but the one of a highly talented, communicative and strategic community designer and developer.

Job description

You become the consciousness, the holoptician of TheTransitioner website. You welcome new comers, identify the people who are willing to play a real active role, introduce them to one another, send them supportive material, generate synergistic connections, etc.

Not only you facilitate the current stream of human interaction, but you see yourself as a gardener of human communities. Providing the right balance between structure and chaos, balancing shaping and creative forces liberates the potential of evolutionary forces toward collective wisdom.

Servant leadership? is a familiar concept, your life is to empower others. Your human skills are combined with a deep knowing of socialware, online governance, and CIWC.

Regular newsletter should also be sent to specific groups, depending on their focal area: collective intelligence, corporations, governmental and non-governmental organizations, eco-communities, social entrepreneurs, political leaders, writers, researchers and so on.

Your English writing skills are not only perfect at the technical level, but also quite inspirational.

Main Responsibilities

• Welcoming and accompanying new comers
• Organizing human connections and synergies
• Work on the design of the website in order to make it more powerful in its role, in coordination with the webmaster?
• Test and implement new socialware that can support community development
• Coordinate with other people in the team (event organizer, graphic designer, technology watcher?,etc)
• Manage and generate newsletters

Qualifications

• At least two years in online comminity design and development
• Excellent communication and writing skills (oral and written en English + another language)
• Excellent understanding of the internet, socialware, CIWC
• Experience in international contexts
• Ability to work democratically and effectively with diverse groups, cultures, paradigms and people

Financial compensation

This position will evolve from volunteering to a full time paid position, depending on our collective success. The internet site should generate yearly subscriptions and participations to online events, these sources of income will contribute in creating a sustainable position.
